The morning event was a 2-hour boat ride on Baia de Guanabara. We had a lot of sun, a breeze came up during the second half, and we had one sea-sickness casualty. Here is Lily taking pictures at the rail. (iPhone)
We had lunch in the urban neighborhood behind Copacabana Beach, and did some shopping. I experimented with the bleached-photo look in this shot of a busy Rio intersection. I like the guy in the red-stripped shirt smoking a cigarette - A classic look. (iPhone)
I like the guy in the striped shirt too. Was that Camera+ or this new iPhone app you have that I should try out?
ReplyDeleteI used the black and white conversion in Snapseed, but then did not use it at 100%. This left a little color in the image. I like Snapseed better than Camera+ right now because you can moderate the effect. With Camera+ it is all or nothing for any given effect. Snapseed takes some getting used to, however. It is a very different interface. Right now I am taking the images with Camera+ because I can control the focal point and the exposure. Then I save the image to the photo library and open it up in Snapseed to do the processing.
