Here are two more images of 'beach abstracts', a series that I am working on for this year. The top one was taken at Malaga Cove, just at the junction of Palos Verdes and Torrance beach. The lower one was taken today off of the Hermosa Beach Pier. See earlier posts on 4 February, 4 March, 24 March, 29 April, and 5 May.

Very nice. I like the one on the bottom because I like the contrasts between the foam and the sand, and the top one is interesting because that could either be a rock in the sand, or it could be a land feature seen from an airplane. You lose the sense of scale.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments Regarding the sense of scale - I really had not thought of it that way, but that does point to a more successful abstract. I am headed for a new beach spot off of PV tomorrow morning. Kevin says that it is really good place, so maybe I will come back with a few more of these.
