Cherry blossoms and an eagle

30 March 2018:

We took an afternoon walk over to Granville Island. On the way we spotted the Vanier Park eagle (http://www.metronews.ca/news/vancouver/2018/02/22/nesting-eagles-arrive-in-vancouver-but-at-a-vulnerable-time.html) - the dark spot in the top image - and cherry blossoms. Note Lisa's blossom-matching pink bag.

Rainy day off Kitsilano

29 March 2018:

We arrived in Vancouver in light rain. All of the natives were heading for the exits because they have a four-day holiday over this Easter weekend. 

After settling into the B&B, I put on my snazzy new rain jacket and rain pants and test drove them in a walk down to Kits beach. I found this solitary paddle boarder gliding across the waters off the beach. And the new rain gear works great!

Views from a late afternoon walk in Redondo Beach. Rain was coming in off of the Pacific. It was nice to take a walk along a different part of the coast.
