1 March 2015:
The Hasselblad went into the repair store for an overhaul during February. I got it back at the end of the month, and it sounds like a new camera. Very nice! These images are from the first roll through the camera since the overhaul, and were taken on Sunday evening March 1. There were some intense but isolated weather cells sitting off the coast out in the Santa Monica bay, and a few more north of us over Santa Monica city. The Hermosa Beach pier is in the foreground of both images. The top image is my favorite of the evening, with the sun illuminating the clouds from behind. In the lower picture, taken a bit later in the evening, you can just see the remains of a funnel cloud off the end of the pier, at the lower edge of the cloud line. There were two distinct funnels a few minutes earlier, neither reaching the ocean.
