A Brooding Sky

Piano Ride

22 April 2012: On a rather misty morning, this "Play Me, I'm Yours" piano was the turn-around destination of a good bike ride this morning. Kevin (shown here) plays piano quite well, and so we both enjoyed the experience. This piano sounded better than it looked, had a rather dirty keyboard after being out in the open since a week ago Thursday, and was fun to play. The plastic on top of the piano keeps off the moisture in the evening. Anyone can simply walk up and play. Bruce - this piano is located at the Veterans Administration grounds, about a mile further up San Vicente Boulevard than you rode when you went to Mandeville Canyon.

Red Chevy on Pier Avenue

14 April 2012:

I am still experimenting with this idea. A very brightly colored car makes this one work. A 1950's era chevy was cruising up and down Pier avenue late this morning.

Canon 5D, 3 stop neutral density filter, waving of camera, and fun with Nik Color Effects Pro.

Cycling Sunday

1 April 2012:
Bruce, Peggy and I rode around Palos Verdes this morning. This shot was taken at the start. We went through Portuguese Bend at Bruce's request, up the 'switchbacks', down through Cabrillo Beach, and then back through Torrance, stopping for a half hour at a local bike race. Then Bruce got to take apart the tandem.
